Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Refining Cleanser

After using up my tube of Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Refining Cleanser I’m ready to buy another and give this a permanent place in my box of beauty goodies.

I love this cleanser because of it’s creamy-lux-feeling and it’s not heavy or oily. I quite like oily balm cleansers and then I yearn for something a bit different – something that feels less like a massage oil. Softer than a balm, but richer than a facewash – moisturising but in an invisible way.

The Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Refining Cleanser has a lovely consistency – a cream that’s thin enough to spread easily over your skin, but heavy enough not to slide off and to be able to work it in a little with your fingertips – and it’s great for removing makeup – the best I’ve used yet. It doesn’t have acidity when used around the eye area, washes off cleanly and has the most relaxing, calming smell of any cleansing product I’ve ever used!

The Frankincense iingredient is said also to be firming and toning, the organic cocoa butter as being moisturising, and I think that you can feel all of these ingredients at work; after cleansing my skin had a little tightness, but still feels very soft and comfortable. It’s the perfect cleanser for when I want my skin to feel totally clean and “fresh” but also want the comforting, soft feel of a cream formula. I like that the consistency is so light that you can rinse the cleanser off, if you not want to have to do the whole ritual with a hot flannel, muslin, etc., and I also like that the cleanser comes in a tube. It’s great for traveling with, and the 100ml size means it’s within the permitted airline volume size.
